1 lb. = 50 cals/day

10 lbs x 50cal x 7days = 3,500 calories

3,500 calories is the amount of calories stored in one pound of fat. So by adding 10 lbs. of muscle you are burning the equivalent of 1 lb. of fat while you are resting.
